Clinovations was started as a networking and learning collaborative (Clinovations Collaborative) in November 2007 in order to bring together healthcare executives for the purpose of discussing today’s most pressing healthcare issues. Our members are clinical and operational executives who are solving today’s healthcare problems and providing insight with their relevant, real world experience.

These leaders have worked for the last two decades around the world to help advance improvements in healthcare including patient safety and quality initiatives, hospital performance improvement, and electronic medical record implementation.

The primary goal of the Collaborative is to provide our members and the healthcare community, including patients and health providers, access to leading practice information.

Dr. Kontor is the Clinical Lead at Bon Secours Health System for their system-wide Epic implementation and clinical transformation efforts. Last month John helped lead the effort at two Bon Secours' hospitals in South Carolina as they went live with CPOE, complete physicianand nursing documentation. Now both hospitals are fully live with their Epic EMR and thier physicians have significantly reduced their dictation and more than 80% of their orders are being entered electronically.
