Ms. Ahluwalia is a Senior Consultant at Clinovations bringing more than 10 years of project management experience to the firm’s public sector clients. In her role, she has helped support the development of test procedures for the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) 2014 Standards and Certification Criteria for EHR Testing. She has also assisted providers in optimizing their EHR workflows in order for them to successfully achieve Meaningful Use. Prior to joining Clinovations, she used agile methodologies to implement the Department of Veteran Affairs Project Management Office policies and ensured the successful and timely delivery of various healthcare IT projects. Ms. Ahluwalia holds a Masters of Arts in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University, a certificate in Project Management from Georgetown University, and is a certified Scrum Master.
Dr. Babitch is the Senior Medical Director at Clinovations. In his role he works side-by-side with leadership to help hospitals and health systems define strategies and priorities to achieve accountable and integrated care. With more than 17 years in healthcare, he brings a demonstrated expertise in population health, hospital governance, and analytics. In 2010, Dr. Babitch received the Beacon Grant for the Southeast Michigan Beacon Community Collaborative. Serving as a Core Team member and the Chair of the Clinical Transformation Workgroup, the $16.2 million grant was funded to promote better care and outcome for diabetes patients.
Prior to joining Clinovations, Dr. Babitch served as the Chief Medical Information Officer at the Detroit Medical Center where he oversaw the Electronic Medical Records activities for their 8-hospital system. His guidance and leadership also contributed to the system’s success in reaching HIMSS Stage 6, as well as Meaningful Use Stage 1 for all eligible acute care sites.
Dr. Babitch obtained his undergraduate training in Genetics and Developmental Biology from Northwestern University, his Medical Degree from Wayne State, and an MBA from Michigan State University. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at Washington University and St. Louis Children’s Hospital, and remains an Assistant Professor at the Wayne State University School of Medicine.
Will Baker, MSHI
Mr. Baker has 18 years of Program and Project Management experience, with the past 8 years specializing in healthcare. While working for a seven hospital IDSN in the northeast, Mr. Baker was responsible for the implementation of the networks EHR project encompassing 700 employed and 1500 affiliated physicians. He has a robust background in both eClinicalWorks (eCW) and athenaClinicals EHRs. Mr. Baker’s areas of expertise encompass building strategies, tools and methodologies that help his clients effectively leverage health information technology. This includes creating strategic EHR and HIE implementation programs, creating Meaningful Use, ACO and EHR Optimization programs for large healthcare networks. His experience has enabled him to excel at leading teams within ambulatory practices and inpatient settings. Mr. Baker has extensive experience linking technology and patient care, improving quality, workflow and process design and the development of specialized training programs. Mr. Baker has also assisted various clients in developing governance models for Ambulatory PMOs, as well as designing the supporting operating models. He has worked with State Regional Extension Centers to assist in developing best practices for implementing EHRs, and led programs through the implementation. Mr. Baker has held leadership positions in various consulting organizations, serving a multitude of clients.
Mr. Baker holds a MS in Health Informatics, and a BS in Information Systems. He is a Six Sigma Greenbelt, and is a member of the New England chapter of Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). Mr. Baker sits on the advisory board for Health Information Technology (HIT) for the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology.
Michele Behme, RN, C
Ms. Behme is a registered nurse with over 20 years of healthcare IT experience. In addition to significant hospital operational and leadership experience, she has led work with several major consulting firms supporting both management and director roles. Ms. Behme has worked for both large and small consulting firms in senior management and practice director positions. She brings to Clinovations a strong background in EMR implementation work, participating in single and multi-facility EMR implementation projects across the country. This work has given her keen insight into the challenges of pre-implementation planning, EMR system selection, design and redesign workflow, clinical integration, application build, testing, training, go-live support, optimization analysis, CPOE, physician documentation, and change management.
As a Senior Vice President on the Clinovations leadership team, Ms. Behme is responsible for the quality and growth of the clinical delivery team and is an active participant in business development, project delivery, and client relationships. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Evansville, professional memberships in HIMSS, Indiana HIMSS Chapter, ANIA, ISNA, IONE, IRHA, and holds ANCC certifications in Nursing Informatics and Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing. Additionally, she is certified in Epic Inpatient Clinical Documentation, Procedure and Medication Orders, Order Transmittal and Decision Support.
Jaman Botts, PMP
Mr. Botts is the Resource Manager at Clinovations. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 18 years of experience in various realms of project management. As the Resource Manager for Clinovations, he is focused on optimizing utilization as well as keeping the resources engaged in fulfilling work that fosters both career development and personal growth. He is also charged with developing processes to streamline the staffing of resources on engagements and applying creative solutions to fill any staffing gaps.
Prior to joining Clinovations, Mr. Botts forged an extensive background in both telecommunications and management consulting. Throughout his career across these industries, he had a focus on business process re-engineering and most recently established a proven track record as a Resource Manager with Grant Thornton, LLC. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The Ohio State University.
Mr. Cannon is currently working as a Consultant managing projects for Health Systems in both the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions as they prepare for and design the implementation process of customized Healthcare IT software. Prior to joining the Project Management Team at Clinovations, Mr. Cannon was a member of Possibilities Without Borders, Inc. where he helped plan, procure, and implement an international technology project in Cameroon, Africa. As a member of the Global Trade Helpdesk at the College of Charleston, Mr. Cannon also participated in on-site international trade analysis studies between the United States and the United Arab Emirates. He holds a Masters in International Business from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina and is a NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional.
Ms. Carpenter is a Senior Consultant with Clinovations. She has extensive experience working in the healthcare IT industry, encompassing both operational and technical aspects. She is an expert healthcare professional with a proven track record in Epic Systems implementation, optimization, workflow analysis, design, validation, building Masterfiles, testing, training, go-live/ post go-live support, and improving customer satisfaction. Ms. Carpenter holds four Epic certifications and brings significant Epic implementation and revenue cycle managerial experience, particularly in the areas of Resolute Professional Billing, Prelude, Cadence, and Benefit Engine.
Ms. Chan is currently working as an Analyst at Clinovations, serving primarily as a member of the technical assistance team for the District of Columbia Regional Extension Center, eHealthDC. In this role, she guides primary care practices through EHR vendor selection and implementation, and helps them to achieve Meaningful Use.
Prior to joining Clinovations, Ms. Chan devoted much of her time to various public health initiatives in Baltimore, Maryland. Through these experiences, Ms. Chan has had the opportunity to work with populations including juvenile delinquents, senior citizens, and substance abusers. In addition, she has worked closely with clinicians in various ambulatory settings, where she received firsthand experience in assisting with clinical operations and processes. She holds a B.A in Public Health Studies from The Johns Hopkins University and has completed a range of graduate-level coursework in public health at The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Daniel Clark, MBA, RN, CPHIMS, FHIMSS
Mr. Clark is a Senior Vice President at Clinovations with more than 15 years of IT experience focusing on clinical, operational and analytic projects for a wide variety of clients. Prior to coming to Clinovations, Mr. Clark served as Division Chief Information Officer for University Hospitals in Cleveland. In his role, he was responsible for technology strategy for the University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center, Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, and MacDonald Women’s Hospital. In addition, Mr. Clark was responsible for technology oversight and system implementation for many of the clinical areas within the large academic medical center including cardiology, radiology, laboratory services, clinical research, and the University Hospitals Centers of Excellence. He is also responsible for the development and management of the hospital research informatics architecture and programs.
Mr. Clark is board-certified as a Certified Professional in Health Information Systems by the Health Information Systems Society (HIMSS) and has achieved Fellow status in that organization. He served as Chair of the CPHIMS Technical Committee within HIMSS which oversees this international healthcare IT credential. A registered nurse, Mr. Clark has held clinical positions in adult and children’s hospitals, and homecare organizations such as Staff Nurse, Charge Nurse, Flight Nurse, Nursing Director, Director of Disease Management, and Vice-President. Mr. Clark holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Ohio Wesleyan University and an MBA in Management from Ashland University.
Kevin Coloton, FACHE
Mr. Coloton is an Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Clinovations with more than 13 years of experience in healthcare clinical practice, consulting, hospital administration, and healthcare technology. He leads our Ambulatory healthcare consulting practice and serves as a strategic healthcare advisor to a number of Mid-Atlantic hospitals and health systems. Mr. Coloton has experience in healthcare strategic planning, hospital/Clinic operations, and technology design and implementation. He also has an expertise in EHR and Revenue Cycle system selection, design, and implementation. Currently, Kevin is leading Electronic Health Record (EHR) business benefits realization, EHR implementation planning, and technology governance/organizational structure engagements for a portfolio of key clients.
Prior to joining Clinovations, Mr. Coloton was responsible for the healthcare technology portfolio at a Fortune 30 company. He has significant management consulting experience, having served as the strategic advisor to hospitals and health systems nationwide. Mr. Coloton brings to his consulting work a multifaceted knowledge of the healthcare industry from his former experiences as a Hospital Executive at Johns Hopkins, a physical therapist, and an employee of a premier healthcare think-tank based in Washington. He holds a Master in Business Administration from Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business in Baltimore and a Master of Physical Therapy/BSc in Healthcare from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
Mr. Denby is the Operations Manager at Clinovations. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a senior public policy specialist and chief of staff to former Secretary of Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, LLP where the team focused on developing solutions for clients in the health care industry and public sector. He began his career as the briefing coordinator to Secretary Thompson at HHS.
He serves on the Circles Board of the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts and is a member of the Society of Fellows at the Aspen Institute, the Young Ambassadors Council at the Children’s Inn at NIH and HIMSS. Mr. Denby received his Bachelor of Science at Texas A&M University.
Jennifer Dostert, MBA
Ms. Dostert has 15 years of public and private sector business experience and strong background in health IT, strategy and analytics. As a Manager at Clinovations, she is currently focused on helping to grow the firm’s federal business. Prior to joining Clinovations, Ms. Dostert was a member of Booz Allen Hamilton’s Health Analytics team, where she led the firm’s analytics and clinical support to the DOD/VA Interagency Program Office. In this role, she led the development an EHR business case/ROI analysis and the creation of an organizational strategy for the Clinical Informatics & Requirements Division. Ms. Dostert previously worked in emerging markets finance and as management consultant at Bain & Company. She began her career at CarMax, where she helped lead the firm’s transition from a startup venture to a successful, nationwide retail chain.
Ms. Dostert holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Spanish from the University of North Carolina.
Ms. England is a Consultant at Clinovations working on ambulatory and large health system EMR implementation and optimization. She comes to Clinovations with more than six years of experience working in healthcare policy and management in the U.S., Eastern and Western Europe, and Asia. Passionate about elevating the role of patient-centered care within health systems, Ms. England served as the National Director of Programs for the American Liver Foundation where she designed and implemented high impact, high visibility patient-centered programs. In prior private-sector consulting roles, Rachael worked to elevate the patient point of view through providing strategic alliance development solutions to biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and emerging/start-up software, data analytics, and mHealth companies.
She holds a B.A. in political science and public health from Franklin & Marshall College and a Master’s in Public Health Policy & Management from l’Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sante Publique in Paris, France.
Mr. Farqui is a Consultant at Clinovations with experience in both the public and private sector, focusing primarily on operations, organizational efficiency, and change management. He brings experience from working on federal healthcare contracts as well as market access and public affairs initiatives within the pharmaceutical industry. Mr. Farqui has content knowledge of healthcare technology assessments (HTA), international health systems, and technology management.
Prior to joining Clinovations, Mr. Farqui was a senior consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton where he assisted the Veterans Health Administration to reduce variability in the scope of services provided and documented by biomedical engineering departments across over 140 medical centers.
He holds a BA in Public Health Studies from The Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) in Health Policy, with a concentration in Health Finance and Management, from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Jason Goldwater, MPA
Mr. Goldwater is a Senior Vice President at Clinovations. He has extensive experience in the development and implementation of health information technology, specifically around electronic health records, standardized system design, and performance-based metrics to evaluate the necessity, effectiveness and economic impact of emerging technologies in health. He has worked for a number of years on the creation of standard-based interfaces and data warehouses to support public health activities, such as immunizations, asthma and diabetes. In addition, Mr. Goldwater has worked on the development of software and infrastructure design to support quality improvement activities in hospitals, nursing homes and physician’s offices, and has been extensively involved in training activities in the tools that support quality improvement work, as well as the process of developing and reporting quality measures. He has been involved with electronic health standards for over a decade, and served on part of the President’s tasks force to develop electronic specifications, performance metrics, and quality measures for health information technology across both the State and Federal sectors. Mr. Goldwater is also a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Certified Professional in Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (SSBB).
Ms. Hoffheimer is currently working as an Analyst at Clinovations. Prior to joining Clinovations, she spent time interacting with providers and patients in a Faculty Group Practice at New York University Langone Medical Center during the expansion of EHR implementation. In addition, she brings valuable involvement on the payer side, working in a company that provided self-funded health plans to small and medium-sized businesses. Ms. Hoffheimer also has experience drafting and cultivating wellness programs in corporate environments. She holds a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan.
Mr. Hung is a senior consultant with Clinovations, providing expertise in project management and strategic planning to federal clients and hospitals in the greater Washington, DC area. He currently supports the development and implementation of Meaningful Use standards and best practices across multiple EHR platforms and health provider environments.
Mr. Hung is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and brings over four years of management consulting experience in the public sector. He has supported and managed large-scale IT policy and technology implementation projects at the Department of Homeland Security, in addition to serving as an Information System Security Officer at the U.S. Secret Service, responsible for monitoring information security compliance and operational risk for multiple systems. Prior to consulting, Mr. Hung also worked at the Advisory Board Company, marketing financial business intelligence solutions to hospital executives in the Southern and Mid-Atlantic regions.
Karen Hwang, MHS
Ms. Hwang is currently a Vice President at Clinovations managing CPOE implementation, ambulatory EHR benefits realization, and clinical transformation efforts for large health system clients in the Mid-Atlantic region. Ms. Hwang comes to Clinovations with over 8 years of experience in project management, business development, health policy, hospital administration, clinical quality measurement, and IT implementation.
Previously, Ms. Hwang was a project manager at the National Quality Forum (NQF) where she worked directly with federal agencies and non-profit organizations to define Meaningful Use of health IT to improve clinical performance measurement and quality improvement. Prior to her role at NQF, Ms. Hwang was a manager at Accenture where she led integration assessment, design, testing, and implementation efforts as part of global customer relationship management projects. Ms. Hwang holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Duke University in Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering, and a Masters of Health Sciences from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Health Policy (Delta Omega).
Ms. Jardim is a Consultant with Clinovations Government Solutions focused on interoperability and patient engagement. She is currently supporting a large, multi-hospital health system design and develop custom web and mobile patient portal applications with access to health information contained in Epic, Cerner, and MEDITECH EHRs to facilitate an integrated patient experience and support patient access to standards-based health information.
Ms. Jardim managed the development of interoperability, usability and patient engagement Test Methods for the Meaningful Use 2014 Standards and Certification Criteria for Health Information Technology. Additionally, she leads governance, technical infrastructure and provider readiness assessments for strategic, operational and sustainability planning of Health Information Exchange infrastructure. Ms. Jardim has supported providers adopt, implement and upgrade EHRs, integrate EHR systems into clinical workflow, and achieve Meaningful Use. Her key areas of knowledge include industry challenges and gaps in achieving interoperable structured data and the intersection of patient engagement and effective use of technology. She holds a Master of Science from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of California Los Angeles.
Greg Johnson, FACHE
Mr. Johnson is an Senior Vice President at Clinovations, bringing more than 15 years of experience as a healthcare executive and leader. Prior to joining the firm, he served in a number of leadership roles across the industry, including the Chief Executive Officer of the largest independent cardiovascular group in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He comes to Clinovations with extensive consulting experience throughout the healthcare continuum. His clients ranged from physicians and hospitals to pharmaceutical companies and payers. Recently, Mr. Johnson worked with large health systems to assist in their Accountable Care Organization (ACO) development; he helped with the set up and launch of their ACO-like entity as well as the development of their short and long-term technology strategy. He has also worked with a Catholic system in the analysis of its revenue and costs on a per-member, per month basis and the development of their overall capitation policy. Mr. Johnson has helped large pharmaceutical companies with their sales strategies and has extensive experience in physician/hospital alignment and the physician revenue cycle. His wealth of knowledge also encompasses project management, having run large consulting jobs around system implementations, strategic planning, revenue improvement, expense reduction, facility design, post-merger integration and the acquisition of physician practices.
Mr. Johnson received his Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry & Genetics from Texas A&M University and his Masters in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University. He serves on several boards, including the YMCA of the Rockies (Mission/Services and Audit Committees), Forerunner Mentoring Program (Board Chair), American Cancer Society (past Chair) and Lone Star Scholars Foundation (President and Founder).
Ms. Kapoor is an Analyst at Clinovations. In her role, she serves as a member of the health system ambulatory EMR optimization team bringing experience in project management, clinical research, and mobile health ventures. Prior to Clinovations, she was a research specialist at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles where she was responsible for clinical project development, implementation, data analysis, and evaluation. Ms. Kapoor also has a range of clinical experiences abroad in adolescent health education and mHealth quantitative and qualitative assessments concerning HIV adolescents and maternal and child population. Ms. Kapoor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science from Michigan State University and a Masters in Public Health from The George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services.
Nicole Kemper, MPH
Ms. Kemper is working as an implementation specialist for eHealthDC, and a senior research analyst for projects in the Federal Health and Public Health sectors. She serves as the Quality Measures SME and Meaningful Use expert for DC’s Regional Extension Center and is a project manager for a project with the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT to develop Stage 2 clinical quality measures for behavioral health. Ms. Kemper brings specialized expertise in the electronic infrastructure for quality measurement from her prior work as a Project Manager at the National Quality Forum (NQF), where she managed NQF’s activities around integrating clinical decision support and quality measurement, and aligning the development of electronic quality measures to national health and public health priorities. Prior to NQF, Ms. Kemper was a Health Research Analyst at the Center for Studying Health System Change, where she conducted research and analysis on market variation in health and public health system delivery, financing and organization. Her work focused on public sector trends, including coordination of care between public hospitals and public health clinics, public health preparedness infrastructure, and the use of health IT to improve communication and data sharing between health care and public health settings.
Ms. Kemper holds a Master’s in Public Health from the Yale School of Public Health, where she developed a research-based, interdisciplinary approach to policy analysis that encompasses social and behavioral health, epidemiology, and biostatistics, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Santa Clara University.
Tasnuva Khan, MSc
Ms. Khan is currently working as a Consultant at Clinovations. Prior to joining Clinovations, Ms. Khan was a consultant at Deloitte in both the commercial and federal practices, focusing primarily on the operational and technology risk aspects of large scale technology implementations, as well as on developing and maintaining efficiency and continuity of business operations, and project management. In addition, she has worked as a researcher for the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, engaged in the public health and business components of water sanitation technology for low income countries, conducting experiments and surveys on-site in South Asia. Ms. Khan has knowledge of cost-effectiveness analysis, health technology assessments, and international health financing and delivery systems.
She holds a Master’s degree in International Health Economics and Policy from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California Berkeley.
Rajeeb Khatua, MD
Dr. Rajeeb Khatua brings a unique set of skills to the healthcare IT industry drawn from senior leadership role in clinical research, medical education, medico-legal consulting and healthcare IT consulting over the span of 10 years. As the medical director in a global clinical research organization, Dr. Khatua implemented an Electronic Data Capture for global clinical trials at low costs and aggressive timelines. He also managed multiple multicenter clinical trials that involves comparison of treatment options utilizing biostatistics. Extrapolating conclusions for new treatment options from small samples in clinical trials, Dr. Khatua realizes the ability to improve health outcomes for all through the implementation of electronic health records that can collect large amounts of data for analysis. Dr. Khatua thrives to implement workflows involving EHR systems with minimal disruption to medical care while capturing critical data elements.
John Kontor, MD
Dr. Kontor is an Executive Vice President at Clinovations, where he helps lead EHR implementation, optimization, and population health/value-based operations efforts. He practiced Internal Medicine for 14 years, focusing on ambulatory chronic disease management and inpatient critical care. Dr. Kontor has served in multiple executive roles at IDNs, including VP Medical Affairs, medical director of an employed physician network, and CMIO where he led the EHR implementation for their 14 hospitals and employed ambulatory network, as well as their system-wide clinical transformation efforts. He serves on the clinical advisory board of CRISP, the Maryland state HIE, and the national board of the American Liver Foundation where he helps lead their digital transformation efforts.
Dr. Lambert is a Medical Director at Clinovations. He is also a practicing, board certified Emergency Medicine physician with 15 years of clinical practice experience in a variety of clinical settings. His focus with Clinovations is providing physician leadership for EHR implementations and guiding hospitals towards Meaningful Use. He has worked with several large health systems, on CPOE order set development and review, physician engagement, and change leadership. He has experience with Zynx applications and has worked with Cerner, Siemens, MEDITECH, Epic, Piscis, and Allscripts. He also has special interest in clinical process improvement and optimization.
Dr. Lambert performed his undergraduate Chemistry studies and received his M.D. from Marshall University. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at West Virginia University.
Alice Landis-McGrath, MD
Dr. Landis-McGrath is a Vice President at Clinovations with more than 12 years of healthcare information technology experience. Prior to joining Clinovations, she served as a Regional Medical Officer with Zynx Health, guiding clients in the implementation and optimization of evidence-based clinical decision support systems, project governance, and outcomes measurement. Her prior work with Allscripts and Deloitte Consulting focused on clinical systems implementation in ambulatory and inpatient settings, encompassing clinical content development, physician adoption and workflow, clinical analytics, and project management. Her clients have ranged from large integrated delivery networks spanning multiple states to small community hospitals. Dr. Landis-McGrath holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Franklin & Marshall College, and received her M.D. from University of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Lindsey is a senior healthcare IT professional with over 29 years experience in Implementation services, Integrated Workflow redesign, Training/ Site Activation, Business Intelligence data analytics services and Project Management. She has a proven track record as a knowledgeable and experienced Project Manager and Implementation specialist for a variety of clinical and financial systems. Ms. Lindsey is especially skilled at building productive working relationships with clients’ Medical and clinical operations staff and other team members for optimal experiences. Many of her previous engagements involved performing readiness assessments, physician integrated workflow redesign analysis, integrated EMR design, build and adoption, Physician/Clinician training, scanning conversions, Go Live support and Customer Service for healthcare IT projects. Megan Linehan, PHR
Ms. Linehan is a Consultant on the Human Capital team for Clinovations. Ms. Linehan is focusing on the development of the Human Capital team helping to implement new programs and processes in areas of employee engagement, training initiatives and performance management.
Ms. Linehan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts and Management and holds a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI). She brings more than 6 years of experience in Human Resources to the team. She has experience supporting a large number of employees in the financial, energy and healthcare sectors.
Ms. Majors is an analyst at Clinovations working in the Knowledge Management Office, directly supporting the Chief Knowledge Officer. Together, they are responsible for creating and implementing innovative measures to improve the processes that generate value from our intellectual and knowledge-based assets, specifically promoting an integrated approach to identifying, capturing, evaluating, retrieving, and sharing all of Clinovations' enterprise information assets. Ms. Majors also plays a key role in developing the information governance lifecycle strategy for Clinovations’ enterprise content and Knowledge Management systems while simultaneously collaborating with partners, leadership, and project managers to understand the resource needs and goals for the company and individual projects. Previous to working under the Knowledge Management Office, Ms. Majors provided Administrative Support Services to the Human Capital and Operations Teams here at Clinovations.
Ms. Majors holds a bachelor’s of science degree from Ball State University, a Montessori Certificate, and is a Certified Lactation Specialist. She has held previous leadership and teaching roles to include a youth ministry position for Military Communities Youth Ministries in Heidelberg, Germany while being stationed overseas with the US Army. Currently, she is preparing to take the 2014 IBLCE board exam to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She also serves her local community as a qualified La Leche League Leader, providing mother-to-mother support as well as delivering educational materials to professional, clinical, and lay groups.
Ricky Mann, MPA
Mr. Mann is a Senior Consultant at Clinovations supporting projects in the ambulatory, optimization and life sciences space. Bringing more than 5 years of domestic and international healthcare consulting experience to the team, his expertise ranges from clinical data analytics to physician engagement. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Mann was a Consultant with the Advisory Board Company where he oversaw performance improvement initiatives and technology implementations for hospitals across the country. Mr. Mann was a also Management Analyst at the NYU Langone Medical Center’s Office of Strategy, Planning, and Business Development, where he worked with an internal consulting team to perform detailed analyses of clinical and financial data to assess business opportunities and resource utilization.
Mr. Mann received his Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Biology from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Public Administration with a focus in Health Finance and Management from the NYU Wagner School of Public Service.
Rodrigo Martinez, MD
Dr. Martinez has 14 years of experience in clinical medicine in both academic and community hospitals. Dr. Martinez has focused on developing clinical IT adoption strategies, developing clinical content, and motivating others to lead organizational change. He has recently been working with select multi-hospital health systems in the mid-Atlantic area, advising enterprise CMO's and CMIO's as well as leading physician order set development projects.
Prior to joining our team, Dr. Martinez worked as a Physician Consultant for McKesson Provider Technologies where he partnered with numerous clients across the country to help drive physician adoption of computerized patient management and order entry systems. He holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an MD from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He completed his Surgical Internship, ENT Residency, and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at University of Virginia Health Sciences Center, University Hospital Stony Brook, and University of New Mexico School of Medicine respectively.
Molly McKendry, MBA
Ms. McKendry is an Analyst at Clinovations bringing more than five years of project management experience in ambulatory health and federally funded community health initiatives to the team. Prior to joining Clinovations, Ms. McKendry worked closely with attending and resident physicians and administrators to enhance quality and expand the breadth of women’s health services at Temple University Health System in Philadelphia. There, she also assisted clinicians and vendors in optimizing workflow in the post go-live environment. Previous consulting experience includes creating business development strategy for a HIT start-up building a Platform as a Service offering. She has also launched health promotion projects with several non-profits and community-based public health organizations for a variety of patient populations.
Ms. McKendry holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health as well as a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from the Fox School of Business at Temple University.
Laura McQueen, RN, MSN
Ms. McQueen has a combined 12 years of experience in clinical nursing, nursing informatics, and nursing administration. At Clinovations she combines her clinical background with project management knowledge to assist clients in meeting their operational and clinical objectives. Most recently Ms. McQueen worked with a large hospital in the DC-area as the project manager for the second phase of their EHR implementation, including Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE). Previously, she worked on the physician order set development project for a large health system client in the Mid-Atlantic region preparing for CPOE implementation. Both of those projects allowed Ms. McQueen to incorporate her knowledge of the HIT space, including EMR technology and functionality, with provider workflows, evidence-based practice, and management of patient populations. Prior to that she was the lead implementation specialist for the District of Columbia Regional Extension Center for Health IT, eHealthDC.
Before joining Clinovations, Ms. McQueen developed and implemented clinical end-user training for CPOE at Inova Health System, as well as managed the CPOE Support Team, which provided 24/7 on-the-floor support to end-users, including physicians and nurses. She has a Bachelor’s in Nursing and a Master’s in Nursing Administration from George Mason University.
Steven Merahn, MD
Dr. Merahn is a Senior Vice President at Clinovations and the Director of the Center for Population Health Management. A veteran physician-executive, Dr. Merahn has deep experience in healthcare quality and performance improvement based on the adoption and integration of clinical information technologies and analytics, healthcare interaction design, systems innovation, clinical transformation and evidence-based care delivery and program development strategies.
His track record includes leadership in the implementation and management of clinical population management program infrastructures focused on quality and performance improvement for value-based care, including accountable care organizations, clinically integrated networks and patient centered medical homes.
With diverse career experience spanning the public and private sectors, he has served as a public health professional, held executive leadership positions in global multinational corporations and healthcare services organizations and has a track record as a successful entrepreneur. Dr. Merahn brings sophisticated strategic, operations and management skills into complex, demanding environments, resulting in responsible innovation, enhanced productivity and market leadership and works with clients to successfully align strategy with operations and support diverse, stakeholder-driven collaborations, affiliations and partnerships.
An advocate for revitalizing the experience of healthcare for professionals and patients, Dr. Merahn has special interests in workflow engineering and collaboration, care management, patient engagement and special disease program initiatives with vulnerable populations.
A native New Yorker, he is a graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, having completed his residency at Montefiore Medical Center and the Bronx Municipal Hospital Center; he also has completed three years of training in child and adolescent psychotherapy at the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia.
Ms. Murrill is currently a Manager with Clinovations with more than 16 years of experience in the healthcare industry, and more than eight years as an Epic Implementation Project Manager. As Project Manager she oversaw the coordination and integration of multiple activations simultaneously and managed full life-cycle Epic implementations and Go-Live support projects. She has experience in large-scale Ambulatory and Inpatient implementations across multiple specialty facilities including Rheumatology, Urology, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Neurology, Pulmonary, Vascular Transplant, Family Practice, Surgery Specialists, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care and Lab. Ms. Murrill has expertise in articulating and internalizing business process requirements into overall design and integration plans to minimize disruption and encourage user acceptance and commitment to new applications and processes. She managed and oversaw numerous transitions to new EHR processes including user Clinical Documentation and training, coaching, support and other transition activities from current state to future state workflow.
Ms. Murrill is credentialed in Epic Ambulatory and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Management from Bennett College.
Ms. Pandey is an Accountant at Clinovations with more than 4 years of demonstrated finance and accounting experience in both the private and public sectors. As an accountant, Ms. Pandey works closely with project managers, analysts, and management to compile and analyze financial information.
Prior to joining Clinovations, Ms. Pandey worked in investment banking as an Accounting and Reporting Specialist at the Bank of New York Mellon. She holds a Bachelors of Arts and Bachelors of Science in International Relations and Accounting.
Rocio Payne, RN, MHA, PCMH-CCE
Ms. Payne is a Senior Consultant at Clinovations with more than 15 years of medical experience, including four years in a supervisory/administrative capacity. Ms. Payne is the Clinical Lead and Operations Manager for the DC Regional Extension Center for Health IT (eHealthDC), and the lead author of the CMS Stage 2 test procedures for electronic notes and family health history. Prior to joining Clinovations, she worked as a Meaningful Use Coordinator and EHR Consultant for the North Carolina Regional Extension Center. Ms. Payne has clinical practice experience in pediatric nursing, and administrative and management experience in OB/GYN. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration.
Paul Phillips, RN, MBA, MHA
Mr. Phillips is a Senior Manager at Clinovations bringing more than 30 years of combined healthcare consulting and clinical care delivery experience to the team. His expertise has focused primarily on identifying clinical and business IT objectives for the provider market. Mr. Phillips has extensive experience in assisting organizations in transforming their care delivery processes through redesign, standardization, physician/provider adoption, policy/procedure development, education/training, and outcomes management in relation to managing implementations of electronic health records across the continuum of care.
Prior to joining Clinovations, Mr. Phillips worked as a consulting executive for several national and international corporations both vendor and non-vendor based. He has worked with over 160 different healthcare organizations representing academic, community, integrated delivery networks and physician practices.
Mr. Phillips has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Ohio State University, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Saint Leo University and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Florida.
Alexandra Povlishock, MHA
Ms. Povlishock is a Senior Consultant at Clinovations focusing on EHR optimization and governance. With more than five years of experience, she comes to Clinovations with an expertise in hospital administration, project management, and IT implementation and optimization.
Prior to joining Clinovations, Ms. Povlishock coordinated the development of an informatics governance structure for a large not-for-profit health system, which promoted the integration of care redesign/transformation with the implementation and optimization of an electronic health record. She has also led projects aimed at demonstrating value, or benefits, from the implementation and use of an electronic health record. Ms. Povlishock holds a Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science and Biology from the University of Virginia, and is a certified Project Management Professional.
Andrea Popovech, MPH
Ms. Popovech is a Consultant at Clinovations with population health management experience in both the public and private sector. She is currently assisting the federal government with their efforts to create sustainable population health management solutions by identifying best practice approaches to improve screening, referral processes, patient engagement and patient satisfaction for specific populations.
Prior to joining Clinovations, Ms. Popovech worked in the New York City Mayor’s Office under the Food Policy Coordinator, where she analyzed the efficacy of policy initiatives aimed to increase healthy food access and food system sustainability. During her time at the Mayor’s Office, Ms. Popovech worked on several projects involving data analysis of city agency compliance with nutrition standards and launch of a hospital-based fruit and vegetable prescription program through the NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation (HHC). Ms. Popovech holds a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and a B.A. in Public Health Studies from Johns Hopkins University. Ms. Popovech has also completed a range of graduate-level coursework in public health at The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Ms. Rauner manages the Marketing and Public Relations for Clinovations. She brings more than 5 years of strategic marketing and event planning experience to the team. Ms. Rauner works directly with the leadership team to create, implement and monitor marketing programs, strategies, and campaigns. She also works to develop and identify thought leadership, website, event, and social media opportunities to increase brand awareness and improve market position.
Prior to joining Clinovations, Ms. Rauner led the strategic marketing efforts for the Health IT Business Unit at Northrop Grumman. In this role, she designed, planned and conducted marketing, positioning, and branding campaigns. She also coordinated, planned, and executed a number of events across Northrop Grumman’s Civil Systems division. Ms. Rauner holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from James Madison University.
Robin Robson, RN
Ms. Robson is a Manager at Clinovations bringing more than 25 years of combined healthcare consulting and clinical care delivery experience to the team. Ms. Robson is a proven leader of teams who consistently demonstrates high engagement and delivers high quality results to Executive Leadership.
Ms. Robson has extensive experience in assisting organizations in transforming their care delivery processes through redesign, standardization, physician/provider adoption, policy/procedure development, education/training, and outcomes management in relation to managing implementations of electronic health records across the continuum of care. Ms.Robson is an effective communicator and demonstrated ability to lead and/or actively participate in groups from all levels of the organization to drive decisions and change. She has earned a MBA Degree, BS Degree with a major in Nursing, and certification in EpicCare Clinical Documentation, ASAP, CPOE and Eclipsys Orders.
Ms. Samarth is President and Co-Founder of Clinovations with more than 19 years of experience in the healthcare and technology industries. Ms. Samarth brings extensive on-the-ground experience in implementation of EHR and HIE technologies in the health system, hospital, and ambulatory practice settings. She is the co-author of Electronic Health Records for Dummies (Wiley Publishing). Ms. Samarth leads Clinovations’ Federal Health and Public Policy practice, ensuring that the organization’s mission of bringing real-world, practical expertise in clinical workflow, health IT implementation and optimization, decision support, interoperability, and project management are delivering quality services to our clients. Ms. Samarth was recently honored by the Washington Business Journal as a 2013 Minority Business Leader.
Ms. Samarth is currently the Project Director for NIST’s efforts in supporting Meaningful Use Stage 2 in collaboration with ONC and CMS, and the Technical Assistance Director for the District of Columbia Regional Extension Center for Health Information Technology, eHealthDC. Ms. Samarth led technical assistance activities for the AHRQ National Resource Center for Health Information Technology from 2005-2009. Ms. Samarth previously led GE’s Clinical Consulting practice, during which she was trained in Six Sigma, Change Acceleration Process, and LEAN, and led health IT implementations and health care strategic planning efforts for large health systems as a manager at First Consulting Group (now CSC) and Accenture. Ms. Samarth holds Bachelor of Science degrees from Johns Hopkins University in Biomedical Engineering and in Electrical Computer Engineering.
Anoop Sangha, MD
Dr. Sangha is a board certified Emergency Medicine physician with 10 years of clinical practice experience in academic, public and private hospital settings. He held the position of Assistant Professor and Clerkship Director for the medical student rotation in emergency medicine at Maimonides hospital in Brooklyn, NY. He has formal training in medical informatics and been actively involved in the health information exchange (HIE) in Oklahoma where he serves on both the analytics and clinical quality committees. His work with Clinovations has involved assisting clients with their EHR implementations and clinician training, as well as developing work in the Life Sciences division. He is proficient with numerous hospital and ambulatory EHR solutions including Cerner, Epic, Allscripts, MEDITECH, and Centricity. He worked as a Cerner Millennium implementation consultant where he was responsible for template design, creation of order sets and training of physicians on FirstNet, PowerChart, CPOE, and medication reconciliation. He has a special interest in user-centered design, workflow optimization, and clinical decision support tools.
Dr. Sangha earned his undergraduate Biochemistry degree from Rice University. He received his M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Emory University and completed his coursework in Medical Informatics through Oregon Health & Science University.
Mark Schneider, MD
Dr. Schneider is a manager at Clinovations bringing more than 10 years of clinical leadership and healthcare expertise to the firm. Dr. Schneider’s combined military and medical background, coupled with his deep understanding of IT development and clinically based solutions, provides a unique perspective to the firm and our clients. His clinical experience runs the gamut from community hospitals to academic institutions, bridging the clinical care gap. Dr. Schneider also brings a diverse research background having spent many years at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Georgetown University, and Washington Hospital Center as the director of clinical research.
Prior to joining Clinovations, Dr. Schneider was the Chief Medical Officer for a management consulting firm in Arlington, VA where he led the firms federal healthcare vertical. He actively serves in the US Navy Reserves and has prior enlisted service time. Dr. Schneider was a General Surgery resident in Massachusetts prior to entering the consulting arena. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuropsychology from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA and a Medical Degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine.
Kristie Scott, M.Ed.
Ms. Scott has over ten years of experience in healthcare and health information technology with a clinical background as a mental health therapist. As a clinician, she provided therapeutic services, medication review, conducted evaluation interviews with associated reports, and provided clinical documentation. She is currently working with a large healthcare system in the Mid Atlantic region as the project manager for physician support. Previously Ms. Scott worked on the Cerner PowerPlan development project for a large health system client in the Mid-Atlantic region preparing for CPOE implementation.
She began her technical career at the Mayo Clinic where she trained, tested and provided documentation for Cerner Millennium Powerchart EMR, Registration and Scheduling applications. She advanced her Cerner knowledge base at Indiana University Health as a Team Lead for Ambulatory Applications including Cerner Millennium PowerChart Ambulatory and Inpatient EMR as well as Registration and Scheduling. Ms. Scott holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Virginia Wesleyan College and a Master’s in Counseling from the College of William and Mary.
Amy Schartner, SPHR
Ms. Schartner is the Senior Vice President of Human Capital and Talent Acquisition for Clinovations, where she is responsible for driving superior human resource initiatives to support the company’s strategic plans and growth. Ms. Schartner is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) with over 15 years of broad based senior-level experience in Human Resources.
Prior to joining Clinovations, Ms. Schartner developed extensive human resources experience in several industries including government contracting and professional services, with a focus on strategy, policy, and process. She has established a reputation for building strong relationships, and an ability to align business, workforce and human resource strategies.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Management from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, and earned an Executive Certificate in Business and Human Resources from the University of North Carolina, Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Mr. Sherman is currently working as an Analyst at Clinovations. In his role, he serves as a member of the Life Sciences team bringing experience in data analysis, project management, and clinical financial modeling. Prior to joining Clinovations, Mr. Sherman worked at Covidien in their Global Government Affairs division, where he was responsible for PAC analysis and perpetuating industry alignment between the medical device industry and the federal government. Mr. Sherman also worked in the Neurological Clinical Trials Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was a financial analyst for ALS clinical trials. In this role he implemented a tool for the real-time analysis of expenses within a multisite ALS clinical trial. Mr. Sherman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from The George Washington University.
Doug Smith, MD
Dr. Smith is a Senior Manager at Clinovations bringing more than 15 years of clinical leadership in emergency medicine to the team. Prior to joining, he served as the Chair of the Emergency Medicine Department at INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital where he focused his efforts on improving departmental throughput, optimization of the physician workflow, and integration of the flow of information across the health system. His efforts led to a physician group and department that reached the top decile in patient satisfaction, the top 5% in departmental length of stay and physician satisfaction.
Dr. Smith has held several senior leadership roles during his career including senior leader and vice-president of a physician led emergency medicine and hospitalist management group and a leader within the Inova Health System. While at Inova, Dr Smith was a clinical leader for the deployment of a PACCS imaging system. He also led the implementation of a telemetry/EKG monitoring system. He was the lead physician on a system-wide emergency department Electronic Medical Record implementation. His knowledge of departmental leadership played a key role in assisting other departments and health systems with EMR implementation and emergency department process improvements. Dr. Smith has a background in using a number of EMRs including PICIS pulse check, MEDITECH, GE, and EPIC.
Dr. Smith received his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech in Mechanical Engineering, his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School, and his residency training in emergency medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Smith is an active member of the US Army Reserves as an emergency medicine physician, with 3 active duty deployments and over 29 years of military service.
Steve Strode, MS
Mr. Strode is a Senior Vice President at Clinovations, bringing more than 22 years of health administration and management consulting experience to the Clinovations team. His expertise is focused in the areas of practice management, outpatient strategy and operations, system implementation and optimization, revenue cycle redesign, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining, he served as the Vice President of Ambulatory Services for Rockford Health System in Rockford, IL. In his role, Mr. Strode was responsible for leading ambulatory services strategy, growth and performance improvement initiatives, and oversight of lab, imaging, pharmacy, respiratory, and neuro-diagnostic services. Earlier in his career, he served as a Senior Manager in the healthcare consulting practice of Deloitte Consulting, LLP and as an Administrator at Henry Ford Health System (Detroit, MI). He received his Master of Science in Health Systems Management from Rush University and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Iowa.
Ms. Tate is the Office Manager for Clinovations. In this role, Ms. Tate is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office. She is an accomplished administration professional with more than 13 years’ experience working in both the non-profit and private sectors, where she has worked closely with senior and executive-level management. Prior to joining Clinovations, she held the position of Executive Assistant to the CEO of eHealth Initiative.
Ms. Tate is working to obtain a Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree. Her long-term goal is to become a Pediatric Registered Nurse.
Mr. Verbic is a Consultant at Clinovations working in the public sector to assist the federal government in their efforts to increase interoperability of their HIT platforms. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Verbic worked in Implementation Services for Epic Systems where he oversaw all aspects of an Epic implementation including building/designing, testing, training, and planning for go-live. Mr. Verbic was also a Research Scholar at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute where he worked with a clinical research team to investigate the pathobiology of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Mr. Verbic holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Miami University.
Jaime Vogel, MPA
Ms. Vogel is a Vice President at Clinovations with more than 12 years of experience in leading and managing health care consulting engagements. She has focused on strategy projects in the areas of health IT transformation, revenue cycle, patient throughput and operational and efficiency planning. Her experience is within all sectors of the health care industry including commercial, academic, government health systems, pharmaceutical firms and managed care companies. Prior to joining Clinovations, Ms. Vogel was the Director of Strategic Planning at New York University Medical Center and previously was a member of the health strategy practices of Deloitte Consulting and Booz Allen Hamilton. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Public Administration from Columbia University.
Dr. Williams is the CEO and Co-Founder of Clinovations. He has a long history of leading CPOE implementation, ambulatory EHR strategy, and clinical transformation engagements. Currently he is supporting inpatient and ambulatory HIT engagements at several large integrated health systems. Dr. Williams has significant experience developing benefits realization, physician adoption, clinical transformation strategies as well as working with 3rd party vendors to develop evidence-based clinical content.
Dr. Williams is Associate Editor of the book Improving Medication Use and Outcomes with Clinical Decision Support: A Step-by-Step Guide, which received the 2009 HIMSS Book of the Year Award. Prior to beginning his consulting career in 2002, he was the Medical Director of Family Practice at Mammoth Hospital in California and was a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve.
Dr. Williams holds a B.S. in Biology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, M.D. from Marshall University, and completed his family practice residency at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles. He also serves on a number of local and national boards including the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) Industry Advisory Council (IAC), DC Greens Board of Directors, and the Share Our Strength Leadership Council.
Mr. Wolf is a consultant at Clinovations working on projects ranging from health technology implementations to strategic leadership efforts. He has also worked as a health information technology Consultant and project coordinator for eHealthDC, the District of Columbia’s Regional Extension Center for Health IT. In this role, he guided primary care practices through EHR education, vendor selection, implementation, and achievement of Meaningful Use. Mr. Wolf is experienced in use and implementation of Salesforce.com and Sugar customer relationship management (CRM) software for managing client information, reporting, and analytics, and is experienced in conducting qualitative analysis and synthesis of interview data and meeting summaries. Mr. Wolf recently served as a research analyst and technical writer for health information exchange projects and “Connecting Technically” module of the eHealth Initiative’s health information exchange toolkit. He also supports data and information analysis, synthesis, and reporting to support development of briefing papers, white papers, and presentations for Clinovations projects. Prior to joining the Clinovations, Mr. Wolf worked on health care business development projects with London Group International. Matt Wooley, RN
Mr. Wooley comes to Clinovations with over 16 years in the healthcare industry, including healthcare IT applications, clinical informatics, implementations and development. He is currently a member of our EMR Optimization team focusing on inpatient areas. Prior to joining Clinovations he was responsible for assessing client’s EMR functionality and reporting measurements to determine if they met the stage 1 Meaningful Use requirements; identify any gaps and/or risks related to clinical data and facilitated meetings with IT leadership committees to review the operational impact the ARRA Meaningful Use requirements will have on the organization.
He also has extensive experience with multiple EMR applications. Specifically design/build and optimization (usability) for inpatient and mid-level provider workflows, CPOE implementations, and evidence based order set design as well as test script design and execution.
Ms. Wurtz is a clinician with over 20 years of experience in healthcare operations and consulting. She has led a variety of work with large and small healthcare consulting firms in addition to significant hospital clinical and leadership experience. Ms. Wurtz has developed multiple programs, including methodology and tool development, training, project management and QA, for national and international consulting practices; and trained consultants and hospital personnel in the US and globally. Her expertise includes change management, process analysis and redesign, organizational governance and communications, and facilitation.
As the Chief Knowledge Officer for Clinovations, she is responsible for creating and implementing innovative measures to improve the processes that generate value from our intellectual and knowledge-based assets, while promoting an integrated approach to identifying, capturing, evaluating, retrieving, and sharing all of Clinovations' enterprise information assets. Ms. Wurtz holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Vermont, holds professional memberships in HIMSS and AONE, and has contributed to a number of publications on process design and project management.
